One unit was assigned to this incident. Three personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1431 hours and cleared at 1437 hours. The incident occurred at 13435 Interurban Ave S, Tukwila in District 002. The local station is 52. The general description of this property is service station, gas station. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel were to identify and analyze hazardous materials. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received. Alarm number 1003551 has been assigned to this incident. Upon arrival E-52 found a box van parked at the gasoline pumps. There was a wet area under the van that had been at the most a half gallon spill. The sun was partially out and there was a slight breeze so the gasoline was evaporating fairly quickly. The driver stated that he was fueling the vehicle and as it neared filling the tank full he noticed fuel leaking Page: 2 Printed: 10/04/2010 21:05:53 Incident Report 2010-1003551 -000 Tukwila Fire Department Narratives onto the ground. FF Rydeen crawled under the vehicle and could not locate a leak source. Driver pulled the van forward and no fuel leaked out. Advised driver to go to his shop which was less than a mile away and have it checked further by their mechanic. As the vehicle drove away no fuel was observed leaking from under the vehicle. Gasoline was almost completely evaporated at this time. Five more minutes and it will be gone. E-52 in service- returning.
