Narrative Text At 2155 hours on Monday January 17, 2011 we were dispatched to a chemical hazard (no
spill or leak). Six units were assigned to this incident. Ten personnel responded. We
arrived on scene at 2201 hours and cleared at 2212 hours. The incident occurred at 17501
Southcenter Pky, Tukwila in District 1065. The local station is 51. The general description
of this property is department or discount store. The primary task(s) performed at the scene
by responding personnel was investigation. Other special hoz mat actions were also taken.
Automatic aid was received on this incident.
Alarm number 1100181 has been assigned to this incident.
Dispatched to report of strong smell of natural gas in the building but the occupants are not
evacuating.
E-51 upon arrival entered the building made contact with the reporting parties and B-51
upon arrival performed a 360 and then came inside the building when E-51 reported that

nothing was found.
No odor of any type was found in the building. Employees state that an HVAC company
was there servicing the systems a good portion of the day. They state that it smelled
strongly of natural gas and that they became dizzy but yet did not exit the building.
Could have been a burp of some sort after the servicing today.
All rooftop furnaces in the building seemed to be ruming but no odor of any type was
detected.
B-51 had cancelled all mutual aid units before their arrival.
All Tukwila units are in service- returning.
