Narrative Text At 1103 hours on Tuesday February 15, 2011 we were dispatched to an oil or other
combustible liquid spill. Three units were assigned to this incident. Three personnel
responded. We arrived on scene at 1115 hours and cleared at 1131 hours. The incident
occurred at 18209 80 Ave S, KENT in District o/j. The local station is 51. The general
description of this property is vehicle parking area. The primary task(s) performed at the
scene by responding personnel was investigation. Automatic aid was given on this
incident.
Alarm number 1100535 has been assigned to this incident.
E51 responded from station 54 to dispatched location an automatic aid into Kent.
Initial report was a oil spill from a black semi truck parked in the parking lot.
Upon arrival found a black semi truck backing into a loading dock. There was a sheen of
oil on the wet pavement however there was not a large accumulation of oil. The oil
appeared to be left by the black semi as you could see drip spots (sheen on wet pavement)
leading to where it was parked. E51 talked to a man who was outside who said someone in
the adjacent office called 911. In the office I talked to the RP who was concerned about
getting fined from the oil in the parking lot. I explained to him that there was not enough
present to use adsorbent material and that he should collect the drivers information and
shipping company he worked for and contact them.
While on location E76 arrived and I informed E76 officer what had happened.
E51 returned in service. AJ
