POSS PAINT INV FURTHER Narrative Name 1101444 Narrative Type Incident Narrative Date 21:03:34 Sunday, May 1, 2011 Author TF1138 - Roberts, Martin Author Rank CAPT Author Assignment 1 Narrative Text At 1925 hours on Sunday May 1, 2011 we were dispatched to a hazmat release investigation with no hazmat. Two units were assigned to this incident. Six personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1930 hours and cleared at 1949 hours. The incident occurred at 13258 40 Ave S, Tukwila in District 010. The local station is 54. The general description of this property is 1 or 2 family dwelling. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. Other special haz mat actions were also taken. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received, Alarm number 1101444 has been assigned to this incident. L54 and E53 were dispatched to a reported possible natural gas leak near the exterior of the RP's home. Upon arrival L54 sized up the scene and directed E53 to stand by a hydrant. L54 and L54-3 began investigating. While doing a 360 of the RP's home the occupants directed us to the front yard. We found a strong "paint type" odor in the area. We checked the area around their house and could find no source of the odor. We then checked the homes to the North and South. We could find no odor or source in either area. We then returned to the front yard of the RP and found that the odor had dispersed significantly. We spoke with the RP and had them come outside. The agreed that the odor had subsided from the time of call. I advised them to call back if the odor returned. L54 code greened E53 and returned.
