Narrative Text At 1340 hours on Wednesday August 10, 2011 we were dispatched to an oil or other
combustible liquid spill. One unit was assigned to this incident. Three personnel
responded. We arrived on scene at 1346 hours and cleared at 1347 hours. The incident
occurred at 300 Strander Blvd, Tukwila in District 005. The local station is 51. The
general description of this property is street or road in commercial area. The primary
task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. No
mutual/automatic aid was given or received.
Alarm number 1102786 has been assigned to this incident.
E51 was dispatched to reported diesel fuel spilled from a truck on Strander Blvd. in the
area of the Chevron station. E51 found remnants of what appeared to be diesel in the left
hand Westbound lanes of Strander at all intersections from Andover Park West to
Southcenter Parkway. It appeared a truck had been driving without a fuel cap and spilling

whenever it accelerated from a stop. All of the spills were small and had been spread by
vehicle traffic to the point there was not enough product to clean up. We determined the
product left did not present a hazard. E51 proceeded to the construction area at
Southcenter Parkway but was not able to locate the responsible vehicle. No more spills
were located past that area.
E51 returned having taken no actions.
