Two units were assigned to this incident. Three personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 0834 hours and cleared at 0932 hours. The incident occurred at 800 I-405 Fwy N, Renton in District O/J. The local station is 51. The general description of this property is highway or divided highway. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. Other special hoz mat actions were also taken. Automatic aid was given on this incident. Alarm number 1103527 has been assigned to this incident. E-51 dispatched to a HZ1NV in Renton. Upon our arrival we made contact with the State Patrol who state a 55 gallon blue barrel was on the side of the road with an unknown quantity of some sort of stripping agent in it had had roll across 3 lanes leaving a sheen around 100 yards long coming to rest up against the jersey barrier. We approached the barrel to read the label. The label said EZ -strip (Company name LM) (concrete form release). there was also approximately 1 to 2 gallons in a pool next to the barrel and no more product inside. The product did not make it to the storm drains. We looked the product up online and found A mineral oil based product. We used the DOT's absorbent material for the small pool of product and the DOT had a sand truck spread sand on the rest of the areas involved. The DOT took the barrel for the DOE to one of there facilities for disposal. I contacted the NRC just incase. the incident number for the NRC is 991-675. I also kept B13 informed of the incident as this was in the City of Renton.
