Narrative Text At 0637 hours on Monday January 30, 2012 we were dispatched to a gasoline or other
flammable liquid spill. One unit was assigned to this incident. Three personnel responded.
We arrived on scene at 0644 hours and cleared at 0654 hours. The incident occurred at
220 Strander Blvd, Tukwila in District 004. The local station is 51. The general
description of this property is service station, gas station. The primary task(s) performed at
the scene by responding personnel was investigation. No mutual/automatic aid was given
or received.
Alarm number 1200362 has been assigned to this incident.
Engine 51 responded to a fuel spill at 220 Strander Blvd at the Chevron Station. Upon
arrival, Engine 51 found residual amounts of fuel on the ground near pump #2 and pump
#4, with no obvious pools of fuel found. The employee on location, Yashaera Birla, stated

she was told an amount of 3-5 gallons was spilled on the ground. The employee of the fuel
station already had absorbent pads on the ground near pump #2, where the leak was said to
have occurred. The employee had also put pads around the storm drain. The employee
stated she thought some fuel had went into the storm drain. Engine 51 checked the storm
drain and found no signs of fuel. Engine 51 put more absorbent pads down on the ground
around the storm drain and pump #2 and told the employee to keep the pumps closed off,
until the fuel had been thoroughly cleaned up. E51 returned in service. cw.
