Narrative Name 1201629 Narrative Type Incident Narrative Date 11:28:52 Wednesday, May 9, 2012 Author TF1135 - Beckman, Kenneth Author Rank CAPT Author Assignment 1 Narrative Text At 1016 hours on Wednesday May 9, 2012 we were dispatched to a flammable gas or liquid condition. Three units were assigned to this incident. Four personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1025 hours and cleared at 1053 hours. The incident occurred at 11500 I-5 Fwy S, Tukwila in District 007. The local station is 53. The general description of this property is highway or divided highway. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. Automatic aid was received on this incident. The estimated property loss on this incident was $2,000. The estimated property value was $5,000. Alarm number 1201629 has been assigned to this incident. E53, E22, B51 dispatched to posslible injury accident with an overturned vehicle in the HOV lane S/B I-5 south of the Boeing Access Rd. E53 responding from quarters noted as we crossed to access S/B 1-5 that we would not be able to access from this S/B on ramp. We went NB and accessed S/B from the next turnaround. B51 confirmed our access as he drove NIB. WSP came back and notified dispatch that only the trailer was involved and WSP advised we were not needed. E22 and B51 code greened, E53 continued in. On our arrival, we found WADOT on location putting down absorbant and pads. The trailer was a mobile pressure washer that had a 15 gallon gas tank as well as a 15 gallon diesel tank. It was overturned resting on the jersey barrier and was leaking mostly diesel but also a small amout of gasoline. They had all the supplies needed to contain the spill. We pulled a line to apply foam if need be. There was a drain downhill, so we did not apply any precautionary foam. WADOT used one of their vehicles to right the traliler. We secured the fuel lines on the trailer and all leaks were stopped. WADOT continued to put absorbant where needed and we secured and left the scene. Trailer license # 2217 XA (WA). Estimated value loss due to tank damage, recovery tank loss and pressure washer damage. Non -injury.
