Narrative Text E53 was dispatched to a reported abandoned car leaking gas. On arrival an abandoned car
was found in the parking lot. The vehicle had been damaged from a prior accident. It
appeared that the occupant of the vehicle prior to leaving the parking lot tried to contain a
small gas leak by routing the vehicles damaged gas line into a 3 gallon gas can. The gas
can ran over its top and spilled approximately 1/2 gallon onto the ground.
E53 secured the gas line that was now no longer leaking fuel, and applied a small amount
of absorbent material on the spill.
Tukwila PD was on scene for an investigation.
No other actions taken by E53. No environmental damage to report.
