At 1009 hours on Friday August 3, 2012 we were dispatched to a gas leak. Four units were
assigned to this incident. Seven personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1015 hours
and cleared at 1128 hours. The incident occurred at 3820 S 130 St, Tukwila in District
010. The local station is 54. The general description of this property is residential street,
road or residential driveway. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding
personnel was investigation. Other special haz mat actions were also taken. Automatic aid
was received on this incident.
Alarm number 1202772 has been assigned to this incident.
L54 arrived to fmd a track -hoe had hit a 2" plastic gas line while digging in the street. The
gas line was not marked properly when the utilities were marked. The line was supposed
to be 2 feet to the north.
All of the residents around the area in a block radius were told to shelter in place. There
were no levels picked up with the 4 gas detector around any of the residences.
E53 pulled a hose line while PSE placed a clamp on the damaged line.
All units returned in service.
