Borden, John Author Rank CAPT Author Assignment 1 Narrative Text At 0234 hours on Sunday August 5, 2012 we were dispatched to a gas leak. Seven units were assigned to this incident. Ten personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 0241 hours and cleared at 0401 hours. The incident occurred at 2600 Southcenter Mall, Tukwila in District 004. The local station is 51. The general description of this property is restaurant or cafeteria. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel were material detection, monitoring, sampling, and analysis. Automatic aid was received on this incident. Alarm number 1202801 has been assigned to this incident. Units were dispatched to a "strong" odor of natural gas at the SC Mall Food Court, Panda Express. B51 arrived first and took command. E51 arrived second, and investigated. E52 arrived third, and assisted E51 in investigating. Other units stood by. The smell was fairly mild, and the gas monitors did not alarm. All other units cleared, and E51 remained at the scene, awaiting PSE. When PSE arrived, the gas leak was detected at the coupling to a french fry cooker in Panda Express. The PSE tech said that he would lock out the line that had leaked.
