Two units were assigned to this incident. Six personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1632 hours and cleared at 1712 hours. The incident occurred at 500 Southcenter Mall, Tukwila in District 004. The local station is 51. The general description of this property is vehicle parking area. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was extinguishment. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received. "Heat from powered equipment" best describes the heat source that caused the ignition. The cause of ignition was unintentional. The use, or purpose of the material that was first ignited was "electrical wire, cable insulation". "Mechanical failure, malfunction" contributed to the ignition of the fire. The estimated property loss on this incident was $2,500. The estimated content loss was $50. The estimated property value was $2,500. The estimated content value was $50. Alarm number 1202821 has been assigned to this incident. E51 was dispatched to a vehicle fire. E53 was in the area returning to quarters, could see a thermal column and added ourselves from 62nd and Southcenter BI. E53 arrived on location of a passenger vehicle with fire from the engine compartment at 16:32. There were four other vehicles w/in 5 feet as exposures. E53 attacked the vehicle fire fire w/ a booster hoseline and tank water. E51 was directed to pull an additional line for the exposed vehicles upon their arrival. E53 extinguished the vehicle fire, there was no extension to any of the other exposed vehicles and we had a "tapped fire' at 16:39:40. The driver of the vehicle, Tao Johnson, had parked the vehicle approx 10 minutes prior to the fire and gone into Macy's. There was no problem with the vehicle or smoke from the vehicle when he parked and left it. We used approx 100 gallons of water from the tank for extinguishment and returned in service. One of the exposed vehicles, parked next to the passenger side of the fire vehicle, received minor damage from the fire when the passenger tire blew out from heat. This vehicle is a 2002 Toyota Camry, WA Lic.-AIZ-5589, VIN-JTDBF30K420053023. This vehicle is registered to Guadalupe Rodriguez, 2810 SW Morgan St, Seattle,WA 98126. Tukwila PD made contact w/ her at the scene. The damage was limited to a 1' in diameter circle of soot on the driver side back door that wiped of with your finger. There was fluid leaking from the vehicle after extinguishment. E51 used one bag of Amerizorb to control this fluid. The registered owner of the vehicle is Luo, Mu J.
