Narratives
We arrived on scene at 1411 hours and cleared at 1553 hours. The incident occurred at
11244 Tukwila Intl Blvd, Tukwila in District 008. The local station is 53. The general
description of this property is hotel/motel, commercial. The primary task(s) performed at
the scene by responding personnel was investigation. Other special haz mat actions were
also taken. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received.
L54 found that TPD had received a report from the apartment manager of a strong smell of
chemicals in room #119. PD call the fire department. L54 added Zone 3 hazmat to the call
and set up Command. B51 took Command and L54 was assigned to assist HM51 with
setting up equipment.

Narrative Text I responded with Hazmat 51 and Kent Hazmat 76 with a total of 8 techs in all. We set up
all of the key positions including Group Supervisor, Entry Team Leader, Research, Decon,
and had a three person entry team. We choose the Lyon Tactical WMD suits for PPE
since there was no threat based on research's information.
A full spectrum of instrumentation was used to ensure the entry team was safe and to
determine if there was a need to mitigate anything.
Once the personnel were suited up and all of the detectors were prepared, the entry team
made entry. The Entry Link Camera was used and the Assistant Chief of Police stayed
with Research watching the camera monitor. It was determined there was no Hazmat at
the call, instead just a very messy motel room.
The scene was turned over to Marshal 51 who wanted to document the condition of the
motel.
There was no furthur action required and all units returned.
