At 1015 hours on Friday April 19, 2013 we were dispatched to a hazmat release
investigation with no hazmat. Two units were assigned to this incident. Four personnel
responded. We arrived on scene at 1025 hours and cleared at 1043 hours. The incident
occurred at 11400 49 Ave S, Tukwila in District 007. The local station is 53. The general
description of this property is residential street, road or residential driveway. The primary
task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. No
mutual/automatic aid was given or received.
Alarm number 1301364 has been assigned to this incident.
E53 to respond to a possible HazMat call for five 5 gallon buckets of unknown liquid.
This is reported by a City of Tukwila street sweeper.
On arrival to find numerous 5 gallon buckets as well as several 1 gallon buckets that
appear to have been dumped in the bushes.
On further investigation the 5 gallon buckets are filled with paint. The street sweeper had
a truck from city shops cone by to pick up the paint cans. We assisted with loading the
paint to be disposed of by Public Works.
E53 is returning in service.
