At 0942 hours on Monday June 17, 2013 we were dispatched to a gasoline or other
flammable liquid spill. Two units were assigned to this incident. Six personnel responded.
We arrived on scene at 0942 hours and cleared at 0948 hours. The incident occurred at
16800 W Valley Hwy, Tukwila in District 005. The local station is 52. The general
description of this property is street or road in commercial area. The primary task(s)
performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. No mutual/automatic
aid was given or received.
Alarm number 1302164 has been assigned to this incident.
E52 was dispatched to a gasoline SPILL on a road. E52 investigated to find a small
amount of gasoline on the roadway. E52's risk/benefit analysis was that stopping in the
middle of W. Valley Hy. to spread Amerizorb created more of a hazard than just leaving
the approximate quart of gasoline to evaporate over the next 5-10 minutes.
E52 returned in service.
