Narrative Text At 1530 hours on Tuesday October 22, 2013 we were dispatched to a hazmat release
investigation with no hazmat. Six units were assigned to this incident. Ten personnel
responded. We arrived on scene at 1536 hours and cleared at 1553 hours. The incident
occurred at 13748 45 Ave S, Tukwila in District 010. The local station is 54. The general
description of this property is 1 or 2 family dwelling. The primary task(s) performed at the
scene by responding personnel was investigation. Other special hoz mat actions were also
taken. Automatic aid was received on this incident.
Alarm number 1303864 has been assigned to this incident.
L54 arrived to investigate an odor of natural gas in the garage of the location. We were
unable to locate any odor, nor get any readings on the 4 gas detector. E47 assisted with the
investigation and the whole house was checked including the attic where the furnace is
located.
Nothing was found. I spoke with the homeowner who was also the RP and she thought it
smelled like gasoline in the garage. I noticed the lawn mower and a gas can were kept in
the garage, which may have explained the odor.
There was no furthur action required and all units returned in service.
