Narrative Text At 1749 hours on Thursday December 19, 2013 we were dispatched to a gas leak. Seven
units were assigned to this incident. Fifteen personnel responded. We arrived on scene at
1755 hours and cleared at 1842 hours. The incident occurred at 15635 W Valley Hwy,
Tukwila in District 005. The local station is 51. The general description of this property is
hotel/motel, commercial. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding
personnel was hazard removal. Other special haz mat actions were also taken. Automatic
aid was received on this incident.
Alarm number 1304628 has been assigned to this incident.
E52 E53 B51 A28 E14 L54 dispatched to a natural gas leak at the extended stay on West
Valley Hwy. FM51 added self to call. FM51 first on location. The desk clerk smelled gas
and called 911. The clerk also said she felt light headed. Investigation found a strong odor
of gas in the laundry room. E52 shut gas off to the dryers in the laundry room. PSE arrived
and found a gas line to a dryer was loosened, allowing a gas leak. PSE repaired the line
and restored the gas to the dryers.E14 spoke to the clerk and determined no aid was
needed. The gas was vented. All units returned.
