Narrative Text At 2353 hours on Sunday January 12, 2014 we were dispatched to a gasoline or other
flammable liquid spill. One unit was assigned to this incident. Three personnel responded.
We arrived on scene at 0001 hours and cleared at 0025 hours. The incident occurred at
5400 SR 518 Fwy E, Tukwila in District 004. The local station is 54. The general
description of this property is highway or divided highway. No mutual/automatic aid was
given or received.
L54 was dispatched to a flammable liquid spill on EB 518 to NB I-5.
On arrival, L54 found a State Patrol on location and a single car in mid wheel deep mud.
L54 investigated and could not gain access to the leak. L54 had the tow truck pull the car
out of the mud and found a large tear in the gas tank. The fuel had already leaked out and
was absorbed into the ground.
L54 had the tow truck hook the car and rechecked for any additional leaks and found none.
L54 went in service and returned to quarters.
