Alarm number 1400559 has been assigned to this incident. E51 responded to a fuel spill at 6820 S 180th street. Upon arrival, E51 found a garbage truck parked south of Jiffy Lube, 6816 S 180th Street. E51 made contact with the driver, Mr. Jerry Parker, of the garbage truck and he stated he had a hydraulic leak in his truck and spilled approximately 1 gallon of hydraulic fluid on the ground. Mr. Parker stated he had already contacted Department of Ecology. Mr. Parker had coned off the area of the leak with garbage cans and cones, he also had put down absorbent pads around the spill. A private cleanup company had also been contacted by Mr. Parker prior to E51's arrival. E51 confirmed the truck was no longer leaking and that the spill was contained. E51 returned in service. cw.
