Nevens, Andrew Author Rank FFI Author Assignment 1 Narrative Text At 1819 hours on Tuesday July 22, 2014 we were dispatched to a gas leak. Three units were assigned to this incident. Three personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1824 hours and cleared at 1842 hours. The incident occurred at 4002 S 158 St, Tukwila in District 004. The local station is 54. The general description of this property is 1 or 2 family dwelling. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. Automatic aid was received on this incident. Alarm number 1402800 has been assigned to this incident. L54 & E47 were initially dispatched to a possible gas leak. B46 added himself to the call. L54 was first on scene gave the following short report: "2 story, Med. size Condo., Investigating". E47 stood by the hydrant, and B46 was on location. L54 met with the RP who said the odor was coming from his back deck - outside. We went to that location (on the deck) and noticed a light odor of propane. L54 3rd position used the gas detector around the entire building with no indications of a problem. It was determined that the odor was corning from the RP's own BBQ which had one of its burners left in the "on" position. We turned the BBQ completely off and the gas dissipated - solving the problem.
