Narrative Text At 1350 hours on Friday August 1, 2014 we were dispatched to a flammable gas or liquid
condition. Eight units were assigned to this incident. Thirteen personnel responded. We
arrived on scene at 1354 hours and cleared at 1425 hours. The incident occurred at 339
Tukwila Pky, Tukwila in District 004. The local station is 51. The general description of
this property is warehouse. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding
personnel was forcible entry. Other special haz mat actions were also taken. Automatic aid
was given on this incident.
Alarm number 1402966 has been assigned to this incident.
Bob Beale with PSE was on location. He had been investigating a gas leak at the meters
on the north side of the building. He found that the leak was at a flange inside of the
sprinkler riser/ electrical room. This room has an open space into 339 and he was
concerned of gas fumes accumulating in that area. He had called the leasing agent with no
response. Wanted to know if we had a key. We do not so we pulled the lock and gained
access. Checked the inside and found no reading with out meter but Bob states that his

meter read 200 ppm. Opened front and rear door and it self ventilated. Bob and his
assistant shut down the gas to the leaking line and capped it off. States that install was
performed by a non-professional without a permit. FM52 traced the gas line in question
and found that it feeds a roof heater for Subway. A permit will need to be obtained from
the City before repairs and reconnection of the gas line by PSE can happen.
Resecure the 339 address.
All other responding units were released before E-51 went back in service.
