Narrative Text At 1833 hours on Monday September 8, 2014 we were dispatched to a gas leak. Four units
were assigned to this incident. Five personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1837
hours and cleared at 1921 hours. The incident occurred at 14441 46TH Ave, Tukwila in
District 011. The local station is 54. The general description of this property is 1 or 2
family dwelling. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was
investigation. Other special haz mat actions were also taken. Automatic aid was received
on this incident.
L54 was dispatched to a natural gas leak outside a building at 14441 46th Ave S.
On arrival, L54 isolated the area and road in front of the house with the leak. L54 then
investigated and found a natural gas service line approx. four feet from the house had been
severed by a crew using a ditch digger.
L54 check both homes to the north and south to make sure every one was out and for gas
inside. Both home were evacuated and no gas was found leaking into the homes.
L54 then stood by securing the scene till Puget Sound Energy arrived and shut down the
leak.
L54 then went inservice and returned to quarters.
Alarm number 1403508 has been assigned to this incident.
