units were assigned to this incident. Four personnel responded. We arrived on scene at
0844 hours and cleared at 0913 hours. The incident occurred at 17000 Southcenter Pky,
Tukwila in District 006. The local station is 51. The general description of this property is
street or road in commercial area. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by
responding personnel was investigation. Automatic aid was received on this incident.
Alarm number 1500502 has been assigned to this incident.
Dispatched to a report of a 15 gallon LPG tank that is lying on the entrance roadway into
the Macys Distribution Center. P519 was first to arrive and give a size up of the situation.
Upon arrival of E-51 P519 advised wind direction and apparatus placement and then left
the scene. E-51 crew packed up and investigated. Found that the bottle had landed on the
top of the bottle and struck the valve causing it to cant off to the side and partially break
off in the threads at the top of the tank. The tank was very slowly off gasing. When the
tank was slightly moved the off gasing greatly increased in intensity. Blocked off access to
this entrance with cones.
An employee with Macys advised that the tank had been very aggressively leaking for the
first few minutes and then had gradually slowed down. B-51 arrived on location and took
command. Then Chief 54 reported that another tank was along the roadway in the 100
block of Tukwila Parkway. This was a smaller 7 1/2 gallon tank and it was not leaking.
We were soon approached by a gentleman who stated that this tank may have come off of
one of his business trucks. It was determined that both tanks do belong to his company.

By now the leaking tank was done off gasing. Stood the tank up and it is now empty.
Jared has a company truck coming that will pickup both of the tanks. Tukwila PD has also
arrived and is talking with the truck driver that lost the tanks and with Jared.
E-51 is complete with any tasks and picks up our cones and returns in service.
