At 1611 hours on Monday March 23, 2015 we were dispatched to a gasoline or other
flammable liquid spill. Four units were assigned to this incident. Three personnel
responded. We arrived on scene at 1620 hours and cleared at 1627 hours. The incident
occurred at 7000 I-5 Fwy N, Renton in District O/J. The local station is 51. The general
description of this property is highway or divided highway. The primary task(s) performed
at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. Automatic aid was given on this
incident.
Alarm number 1501166 has been assigned to this incident.
Dispatched with Renton Fire to a reported gasoline spill on I-405 FWY N. Found a fuel
sheen to start at approximately the 7000 block of I-405 FWY N and to continue on past the
overpass for SR 167. Batt 13 first to arrive on location and find the spill at 167 and going
north. E-51 stopped with two DOT trucks at the SB 167 off ramp from I-405. Spoke with
the DOT crew and found that they had already turned this spill over to DOT maintenance
and that a sanding truck was enroute. Advised Batt 13 of this info and that DOT
maintenance would sand the whole distance of the spill.
Batt 13 code greened all responding units and we left the incident to DOT maintenance.
E-51 in service- returning.
