Tukwila Fire Department
found the vehicle on the offramp to Southcenter Blvd on the side of the road. There was a
small gas stain under the car but all gasoline had evaporated. The owner advised that he
had smelled fuel while driving and pulled over but the gauge showed empty now. The
owner started the vehicle to pull farther off the road and forward and the leak began again
from an area that appeared to be the fuel pump. He stated his wife had taken the car to the
shop last week for maintenance and that could have resulted in the issue. He advised that
he had a tow coming and he would not start the car again.

E53, E52, HZ76, and B51 responded to a possible gasoline leak on I 5 southbound. We
found the vehicle on the offramp to Southcenter Blvd on the side of the road. There was a
small gas stain under the car but all gasoline had evaporated. The owner advised that he
had smelled fuel while driving and pulled over but the gauge showed empty now. The
