At 1722 hours on Friday October 30, 2015 we were dispatched to a gasoline or other
flammable liquid spill. One unit was assigned to this incident. Three personnel responded.
We arrived on scene at 1730 hours and cleared at 1744 hours. The incident occurred at
12400 51 P1 S, Tukwila in District 007. The local station is 53. The general description of
this property is railroad yard. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding
personnel was investigation. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received.
Alarm number 1504613 has been assigned to this incident.
E53 to respond to Diesel spill, RP estimates about 5 gallons spilled.
RP stated that an employee was filling the diesel tank on a fork loader from a large above
ground fuel tank when the hose burst near the nozel spraying diesel on the employee, the
loader and the ground. RP said the employee washed off and changed his clothes and has
no injury from the spill.
RP said the spill was contained to the concrete area (8X8) infront of tank and the oil/water
seperator. The BNSF RP said they have the NRC enroute to cleanup the spill and estimate
they will arrive in 20 minutes. They have notified the appropriate authorities per their
policies.
