At 0745 hours on Monday March 14, 2016 we were dispatched to a hazmat release
investigation with no hazmat. Three units were assigned to this incident. Four personnel
responded. We arrived on scene at 0749 hours and cleared at 0809 hours. The incident
occurred at 411 STRANDER Blvd, TUKWILA in District 004. The local station is 51.
The general description of this property is doctor, dentist or oral surgeon's office. The
primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation.
Automatic aid was received on this incident.
Alarm number 1601158 has been assigned to this incident.
E51 sent to a reported odor investigation inside a dental office building.
E51 arrived to fmd a 3 story CTU with nothing showing from 4 sides.
B51 arrived and established Strander Command. E51 tied in with Strander Command in a
face to face and proceeded inside to the third floor to investigate.
E51 arrived on the 3rd floor and entered suite 301 and found an odor similar to methane or
sewer gas type smell. Gas detector readings were within normal limits.
E51 continued to investigate by checking the unit adjacent to 301 and across the hall from
301. No odor was found in those occupancies.
E51 proceeded back to 301 and checked out a shower in the occupancy.
A trash can and a vacuum cleaner were present in the shower. E51 inquired if the shower
was being used at all and was told that no one used the shower.
E51 returned in service.
