TUKWILA FIRE DEPARTMENT INCIDENT REPORT NARRATIVE
Date: 08/11/95 Incident: 95-002669-000
Dispatched to a fuel spill. Upon arrival we found a single car off the
road that had run over several pieces: .of curbing. One of the pieces had
hit the underside of the fuel .tank and ruptured it. There was a large
gash in the tank. This gash allowed the release of all the fuel in the
tank prior to our arrival., The. occupant,of the vehiclestatedshe was
almost empty. I did not -see any indication of any large quantity.
We laid down a precautionary preconnect while a tow truck moved the car
away from all the curbing. We also put some absorbant pads on the
ground where. some engine oil". spilled. After the car was away from the ,
curb and on the tow truck, there was no further hazard. We released the
scene to Tukwila PD.
