Dispatched to an.odar of natural gas in the building.at ITT tech. College. Upon our, arrival. we found the building in the process of being evacuated and WNG on.location. I contacted the' WNG employee on the , scene. Ne stated they were contacted prior to us, and-that.he had already sampled air.throughout the building and found nor smelled.any, indication of Natural Gas." I questioned the senior employee on.the' scene and she stated when she came in at 0700 hr this morning, that there was a strong odar of something in the NW corner classroom. She did not know what it was, but thought it smelled like natural gas.' I sent 2 firefighters with the WNG rep, and they went on the roof and checked the -gas appliances there, and found nothing. The WNG rep stated to me that there was,no gas in the building, and that it was ok by him for the buildingto be reoccupied:..I concerred. We turned the building back over to the school authorities with instruc'ti.ons'to contact the'custodian service company that was in the building_ last night and see if they spilled something, or had any idea of what that odar may have been, and also to -call 911 immediatly if the odar came - back.
