Date: 03/10/99 Incident: 99-000809-000
Dispatched to a possible meth lab. Upon arrival Chief Alderson met
with the manager of the complex. He was informed that they cleaning
crew had found some unknown material in the bathtub for the past two
days. One day it was a "green material" and the next day it was a
"grayish material". On Tuesday, one of the cleaning staff became ill
after being in the room. Today, prior to the 911 call, an employee,
(who we did not see at the scene) was reported to have goten a headache
after being in the room. She was pregnant so they (the management of
the hotel) sent her to the hospital for examination. It was reported
to us the at the room has been cleaned for the past three days now,
including a thorough cleaning today.
We went into the room and took air samples with our Phd combustable gas
detector. We found zero readings on all products sampled. As we
entered the room to take samples, the room had an odar of a freshener,
and the window was open, with a breeze coming into the room. We sniffed
near both the tub drain and the sink drain. We
