Wittwer, Fire Chief This letter is in response to your request to extend the already expired Fire permit 19-F-151. I have reviewed your request and determined that the Fire Marshal's Office will not be reinstating the already expired Fire permit. For work to start and inspections to be conducted, a new Fire Alarm permit will need to be issued. To do this, you will need to complete and submit a new Fire Alarm application with all required supporting documents. All Fire permits are now submitted and issued via the City of Tukwila Permit Center. This was issued before the permit center took over tracking of fire permits. As such, we have no access to the fire departments control of this permit. I do not know when it is due to expire. We have no access to the permit to extend it. That will need to be done by the fire department. As for an electrical permit for a fire alarm at this address, an electrical permit EL19-0498 expired on 12-8-2019. It was issued with an Owner Affidavit in lieu of a contractor. A new electrical permit will be required. The permit center now processes all permitting concerns with the City. Form F.P. 100 City of Tukwila Fire Department FIRE WATCH REQUIRED Due to the inoperative fire protection system(s) in your facility, you are required to provide a fire watch per City of Tukwila Ordinance #2437, section 16.40.120-D and Ordinance #2436, section 16.42.100-C (see reverse side). The fire watch shall be maintained until the system(s) are operational as determined by the Tukwila Fire Marshal's Office.
