Work items 1) Furnish, install and program one Fire Lite MS92000D addressable fire alarm control panel with integral digital communicator. 2) Furnish and install Remote Annunciator as shown on plans. 3) Provide 24-hour monitoring with daily self -test. 4) Provide addressable smoke and heat detectors as shown on the drawing. 5) Provide pull stations at all exits. 6) Provide audible and visual devices per NFPA72 and the Americans with Disabilities act. Audio/visual devices shall be configured so that upon signal silence, the horns shall be silenced. The strobes shall continue to flash until the system has been reset. In any location where two or more strobes can be seen, the strobes shall be synchronized to flash together. Horns shall be set to ANSI temporal pattern. 7) Provide a 75 -candela horn/strobe on the street side of the building at a location easily visible to approaching fire trucks. Installation notes 1) All manual pull stations shall be installed so that the operating mechanism is in accordance with the following: a) 54 inches above finished floor (AFF) where parallel approach is maintained, or: b) 48 inches AFF where parallel approach cannot be established or maintained. NOTE: Parallel approach is a 60 -inch clear space parallel and: adjacent to the pull station. 2) All horn/strobe units shall be installed with the bottom of the strobe lens not less than 80" AFF, or 6" below the ceiling, whichever is lowest. 3) All fire alarm wiring shall be solid copper, jacketed and rated FPLR, and sized as follows: a) Signalling line circuit; #18 AWG minimum. b) Notification appliance circuits; #14 AWG minimum. 4) All standby batteries shall be sized to provide 24 hours of standby operation, followed by five minutes of alarm. 5) Where practicable, all devices and equipment shall be flush mounted. r\ 6) All wiring shall be concealed in walls where practicable.
