order by the Mayor, Charles O. Laker, at 3:0C) 2 .M. Councilmen
present were Stan ,Zinkier, A. G. Radford, E. W. Ives, R. K. Doyle
and J. A. Hamilton.
Ti_e minutes of the August meeting were read and approved as read.
Current bills were examined and vouchers signed. Mr. 'ilinkler
moved all bills signed by the Finance Committee be paid and warrants
drawn for their respective amounts.

The report of the Treasurer was read and accepted.
The report of the Water A'ept. was read and placed on file.
One permit was issued in August to move a house and improve it.
Don Ieahy, Fire Chief, reported the Fire dept. was concerned by
the number of grass fires along the railroad right of way during the
past summer. Council suggested a letter be sent to companies using
the tracks.
Mr. Deal, representing narstad Associates, explained the change
order No. 1, relating to Schedule C- Stabilization Pond. These changes
relating to chlorine mixer and effluent pump and to temporary electric
serv1ce will result in a reduction in price and have approved by the
Consulting Engineers. Mr. ilamilton moved the Council approve the
changes, seconded by Mr. '.Iinkler and carried.
Mr. read a letter from August F. Rahn, Deputy Prosecuting
Attorney regarding the new Justice Court bill. Mir. Iiinkler recommended
the town continue our Municipal Court which is provided by Chapter 6
of the substitute Bill 111, /Jaws of 1961, and he so moved, seconded
by Mr. namilton and carried.

Council discussed with Mr. Burzenski street construction in the
Development.
At 10 :30, Mr. _Eves moved meeting adjourned, seconded by Mr. Hamilton
and carried.

September 18, 1961
The recessed meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to order
by the Mayor, Charles 0. Baker. Councilmen present were Stan Minkler,
A. G. hadford, E. A. Ives` aid J. A. Hamilton.
Mayor baker noted that NIr. uerald Cysewski had not attended a
meeting of the Tukwila Planning Commission, of which he was a member,
for about a year. Mr. Minkler moved Ivir. Cysewski be relieved of his
duties on the Planning Commission, seconded by ivir. Radford and carried.
Mayor baker appointed Mr. A. B. Harrison to replace Mr. Cysewski on the
Planning Commission, Mr. Hamilton moved Council approve this appoint-
ment, seconded by Mr. Iviinkler and carried.
ivlr. Doyle, whose business activities take him out of town for
extended periods of time, tendered his resignation as Tukwila Civil
Defense Director. Mr. Hamilton moved council accepte this resignation,
seconded by Mr. Ives and carried. mayor Baker reported he had approached
Mr. Glen Duxbury who was willing to accept the appointment and he would
appoint Mr. Duxbury as Civil Defense Director for Tukwila. Mr. zadford
moved Council approve this action, seconded by Mr. Ramilton and carried.
Mr. Zepp was questioned concerning the progress of street construct-
ion in the development. He reported his satisfation regarding the work
being done which he is following very carefully.
Mayor baker appointed Er. Radford and members of the Street
Committee to work with Mr. Zepp and Mr. Long on an orainance setting
maximum load allowed on town streets. 1
mayor Baker appointed Mr. Radford, Mr. degel anu Mr. Drew to
represent the town Council on the School Advisory Council for the
coming year.
Mr. Ives moved Ord. w 336, the budget fot 1962, be placed on its
first reading, seconded by ivlr. Hamilton and carried. Mr. Hamilton
moved Ord. t 336 be placed on its second reading, seconded by ir.
Minkler and carried.
Mr. Hamilton moved meeting adjourn at 10 :30, seconded by 'r. Ives
and carried.
