The regular meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to order by the Mayor, Charles O. Laker, at 2:00 P.'i. Councilmen present were Stan iriinkler, A. G. Radford, E. W. Ives K. Doyle and Jerry Hamilton. Aayor Laker asked that bids for a new Fire bid, only, from the American LaFrance Co. was the bid be turned over to the Fire Department seconded by Hr. Hinkler and carried. Council Department also review the specifications and November 20th. Current bills were examined and vouchers signed. Jr. :inkier moved all bills appeovd by the 'inalce Committee be allowed and warrants be drawn for their respective amounts, seconded by ;..r. Ives and carried. The report of the Water Lept. was read and placed on file. Long reported 1 building permit issued in October At 9;00 p. :i. there was a public hearing on a street vacation, all properties of Puget nestern and Southcenter, There being no oral or written objections Mr. rlamilton moved Crd. 340, vacating a certain portion of S. 162nd St. and 54th Ave. S., be placed on its first read- ing, seconded by iir. Doyle and carried. '.:r. Ives moved Crd. 340 be placed on its second reading, seconded by hr. :iamilton and carried. ir. Radford moved Ord. if 340 be placed on its third reading and final passage, seconded by Ives and carried. By the adoption of Ord. 7 333 on Gctober 16, 1 61 the Town of Tukwila accepted a deed for a new road known as n '-lade nay which na_i_e was given in memory of -r. ;iyron Slade a former Street Superin- tendent of Tukwila. Oar. Citizens of an area which had not until recently been included in Tukwila boundaries, questioned the manner they might pursue in w ©thdrawing from Tukwila. r. Eurzenski, Engineer, explained the thorough search that had been made, proving their area had always been in Tukwila. 3 Everett Drug:7e, with Harstad Asociates, presented and explained the schedule for sewer charges. °r. Hodge, attorney, was asked to prepare an ordinance covering same. ir. T.I.inkler moved the adoption of Res. 146, authorizing acceptance by the IVajuor and Clerk of an easement from the City of Seattle, seconded by Hr. Doyle and carried. yieeting recessed at 10 :05 to meet on Nov. 20, at 3 :00 p.m.
