The recessed meeting of the Tukwila Town;. Council was called to
order by the Mayor, Charles 0. Baker, at 8 :00 P.M. Councilmen
present were Stan Minkler, 4 G. Radford, E. W. Ives, R. K. Doyle
and Jerry Hamilton.
Mayor Baker yhat this date and hour had been set for a Public
Haaring the Compbehensive Arterial Street Program. Mr. Long
explained this program giving the streets to be improved and the
amounts needed for this improvement. The Council discussed the
program. others attending the hearing also took part.
Mr. Hamilton moved the Council adopt this Arterial Street Plan
as presented, seconded by Mr. Minkler and carried.
Mr. Doyle moved the adoption of Resolution 149, approving and
adopting the Comprehensive Street Program as prepared by the City
Engineer, seconded ny Mr. Radford and carried.
Current bills were presented. Mr. Minkler moved all bills
approved by the Finance Committee be paid and warrants be drawn for
their respective amounts, seconded by Mr. Ives and carried.
Current expense
Pioneer Office Equipment, town hall improvement
Motorola Finance Corp., payment on police equipment
Pope -Ford Co. repair police car
Tim McCullough, Sheriff, prisoners board:
Blumenthal Uniform Co., police expense
Mr. Ives moved the town purchase a street striping machine,
by Mr. Doyle and carried. The price is estimated at ;085.00
Mr. Hamilton moved Comnail adjourn, seconded by Mr.Ives and
Lois T. Newton, Town Clerk

Mayor Baker announced the reappointment of Mr. Minkler and Mr. q
Radford to the Tukwila Planning Commission. Mr. Doyle moved Council,
approve these appointments, seconded by Mr. Ives and carried.
mayor Baker read a letter of appreciation of a Tukwila patrolling
office who detected a broken water main under the general Electric
Building and reported to the repair department. 'Mayor Baker commended
our Police officials.
Mayor baker appointed Lee R. Phillips to a four year term as
Municipal Jtadge of Tukwila. Mr. itamilton moved Council approve this
appointment, seconded by Mr. Ives and carried. Our attorney, Mr. Wes
Hodge, was requested to so notify the Prosecuting Attorney.
The Clerk presented a letter, signed by Max R. Mohr and Anny Mohr,
which was received on December 15, 1963, and which requested a meeting
with the Council to discuss an annexation. Mr. Minkler moved the ii i;
8ouncil meet with the petitioners at 8:00 P.M. on January 15, 1962,
seconded by Mr. Hamilton and carried.
A letter from John Graham and Company, regarding Basic Planning
and Engineering, was read. mayor baker appointed Mr. Minkler, Mr.
Ives and Mr. Hamilton to work on proposals set forth in the letter.
Mayor Baker presented a letter from Mayor Frank Aliment of Renton,
in which he reported the Renton de annexation proposal woyld be
coming before the Renton City Council very soon.
Mayor Baker appointed Mr. nadford, Mr. Doyle and Mr. Hamilton to
work on an ordinance regarding the regulation of out of town business.
