A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING A
COMPREHENSIVE SURFACE WATER PLAN.
WHEREAS, storm water management protects people, property and the general
environment from damage caused by rainfall and water runoff, and
WHEREAS, Tukwila created a Surface Water Utility in 1989 to regulate storm
water in the City, and
WHEREAS, the Surface Water Comprehensive Plan identifies specific actions
and strategies to manage and control the rate and quality of surface water in Tukwila,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on the Surface
Water Comprehensive Plan and recommended its adoption to the City Council in May,
1993, and
WHEREAS, a determination was issued pursuant to the State Environmental
Policy Act on December 17, 1991;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Surface Water Comprehensive Plan Report and Appendices dated
April, 1993, written by KCM, Inc. and revised by the Utilities Committee, is hereby
adopted by this reference as if set forth in full.
Section 2. The timing and budgeting of projects in the City's annual six year
Capital Improvement Plan CIP will determine when the capital program listed in the
Surface Water Comprehensive Plan will be done and how the project costs will be paid.

WASHINGTON, at a regular meeting thereof this 21st day of June 1993
