IF 1908 C ity of u kwi a Washington Resolution No. 1267 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, WELCOMING AND HONORING DISTINGUISHED GUESTS FROM OUR SISTER CITY OF IKAWA, JAPAN. WHEREAS, the cities of Ikawa and Tukwila became Sister Cities in 1979, and WHEREAS, the long affiliation between our cities has formed the bonds of friendship that have overcome the barriers of language and culture and spanned the separation caused by a great ocean, and WHEREAS, the City of Tukwila wishes to convey how important and welcome lkawa citizens are to our city and our country, and what a delightful honor it is to host our Sister City visitors, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES THAT: The City extends its warmest welcome to our Sister City Ikawa, and honors our guests with special appreciation for their visit and for friendships made and renewed during their visit. RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASINGTON, at its regular meeting thereof this second day of August, 1993.
