Chair Hougardy called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
I. BUSINESS AGENDA
A. 2023-2024 Proposed Budget: Drug Seizure Fund (109)
Staff presented the proposed budget.
Committee Recommendation:
Forward to October 24, 2022 Committee of the Whole.
B. Resolution: Fire Permit Fees
Staff is seeking Council approval of a resolution that would adopt a revised Fire Department
Fee Schedule. Councilmembers asked clarifying questions and discussed the policy
implication of cost recovery via fee collection.
Item(s) for follow-up:
• Return with information about an approach based on hourly rate or other staff time
calculation.

C. 2022 3rd Quarter Fire Department Report
Staff presented the report.
