Chair Hougardy called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
I. BUSINESS AGENDA
A. Resolution: Fire Permit Fees
Staff is seeking Council approval of a resolution that would adopt a revised Fire Department
Fee Schedule.
Item(s) for follow-up:
• Provide more examples of fee calculations
• Propose language ensuring regular review by the Council
• Add Covington and Maple Valley to the fee comparison matrix
Committee Recommendation:
Return to Committee.
B. Grant Agreement: Mental Health Professional Co -Responder
Staff is seeking Council approval of an Association of Washington Cities grant in the amount of
$92,083 to fund an additional Mental Health Professional to co -respond with PD to help those
in crisis.
Committee Recommendation:
Unanimous approval. Forward to November 28, 2022 Committee of the Whole.
C. False Alarm Reduction Program
Staff briefed the Committee on a plan to partner with Central Square Technologies to
administer the false alarm reduction program.
Committee Recommendation:
Discussion only.
D. License Plate Reader Program
Staff briefed the Committee on the progress of installation of the Flock License Plate Reader
Camera program.
Committee Recommendation:
Discussion only.
