Resolution No. 1274 i
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, FIXING THE TIME FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING FOR VACATION OF CERTAIN RIGHT -OF -WAY,
GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS MAULE AVENUE FROM SOUTH
140TH STREET TO SOUTH 141ST PLACE AND SOUTH 141ST
STREET FROM INTERURBAN AVENUE EAST, NORTHEAST-
ERLY FOR APPROXIMATELY 90 FEET TO THE END OF THE
RIGHT -OF -WAY; AND REPEALING RESOLUTION 1273.
WHEREAS, a Cooperative Parking Agreement has been developed with the property owners
and the City; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement provides for vacating South 141st Street and Maule Avenue in
exchange for right -of -way and easements; and
WHEREAS, the Utility and Transportation Committees moved the Agreement which includes
the street vacations forward to Council; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 1273 set October 18, 1993 for vacating Maule Avenue at South 141st
Street instead of South 140th Street;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DO HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
,Section L, A public hearing upon the vacation of certain public right -of -way, generally
described as Maule Avenue from South 140th Street to South 141st Place and South 141st Street from
Interurban Avenue East, northeasterly for approximately 90 feet to the end of the right -of -way, shall be
held before the Tukwila City Council in the City Council Chambers at Tukwila City Hall, 6200
Southcenter Blvd., Tukwila, Washington, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard
on November 1, 1993, which is not less than twenty (20) nor more than sixty (60) days from the date of
passage of this resolution, at which time all persons interested in said right -of -way vacation are invited
to appear and be heard.
motion 2, The City Clerk is directed to post written notice of pendency of the public hearing in
three public places in the City of Tukwila and in one additional conspicuous place on the right -of -way
sought to be vacated at least twenty (20) days prior to the date set for hearing.
Section 3. Resolution 1273 is hereby repealed.
