AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE OPERATING OF MOTOR VEHICLES WITHIN THE
TOWN OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, PROVIDING PENALTIES THEREFOR, AND RE-
PEALING ORDINANCES NO. 71 AND NO. 195.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA.
SECTION 1. In order to make the ordinances of the town of Tukwila
uniform with the laws of the State of Washington, all of
the provisions of the Washington Motor Vehicle Act, being Chapter 189
of the laws of Washington for the year 1937, and as amended, are here-
by adopted by the Town of Tukwila and by reference made a part of this
ordinance, as though specifically set forth herein.
SECTION 2. Any person violating any of the terms of the laws referred
to in Section 1 of this ordinance within the limits of the
Town. of Tukwila shall be guilty of a violation of this ordinance.
SECTION 3. Any violation or failure to comply with any of the pro-
visions of said section of this ordinance shall consti-
tute a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall subject the
offender to a fine of not more than 0100.00 or to imprisonment for a
period not to exceed thirty(30) days, or by both such fine and
imprisonment.
All fines imposed by, or bail forfiture made to, the
Police Judge through violation of this ordinance shall inure to the
Town of Tukwila.
In addition to the above penalties the Police Judge of
the Town of Tukwila shall have full power and authority, in accord-
ance with the laws mentioned in Section 1 of this ordinance, to sus-
pend, revoke and cancel the Motor Vehicle Operator's license of any
person convicted in Police Court of negligent driving, reckless
driving, or driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor or
any narcotic drug.
SECTION 4. ORDINANCES NO. 71 and No. 195 are hereby repealed.
PASS by the Town Council of the Town of Tukwila, Washington,
this 4th day of February 1952
