Bracing is provided for the last length of pipe but within 6' of the end of a feed or cross main. Any leakage teat results in a loss of pressure in excess of 1.5 psi for the 24 hours shall be corrected. • Maintain a 4 ft. clear space around the sprinkler riser for emergency access. • An electrically supervsed post indicating valve (PIV) is required. • PIV shall have the building number served by the PIV stenciled vertically in 3 - inch high white numbers on a "safety red" background, facing the direction of vehicular access. • The height of the fire department connection (FDC) shall be 36 to 48 inches above grade. • The FDC shall have a downward angle bend of 30 degrees with a 5 -inch Storz connection and a Kncx locking Storz cap. • Install listed water shields on in -rack sprinklers. • Installation of all electrical pre -action system components requires a separate fire alarm permit and an electrical permit. • These conditions apply to all sprinkler piping exposed as necessary to accomplish the permitted scope of work.
