GENERAL NOTES
1. System to be designed to N.F.P.A. #13D, 2007 edition and Fire Department requirements.
2. System hydraulically calculated to Fire Departments requirements and to N.F.P.A. 13D and Manufacturers Requirements.
3. Minimum pipe size to be 1" throughout job.
4. System to be hung per manufacturers requirements. Avcon Hangers to be used - Fig 511 & no block & head set.
5. All underground piping to conform to local Water Department requirements. This is for fill line only
6. Water information to be provided by pump manufacturer. Source of water by owner.
7. Transition from underground to riser to be copper type K typical unless noted otherwise
8. Risers that are exposed should be to be steel, cpvc is exceptable. Risers that rise up in wall to have typical access panel,
provision of this panel to be per contract.
9. All electrical wiring and conduit for electrical switches to be by others.
10. Cleaning and painting of pipe to be by others, if required.
11. All drilling and notching to be per manufacturers specifications and Fire Department requirements.
12. All piping to be CPVC typical unless otherwise noted.
13. Items to be verified at time of inspection:
a) Pressure at base of riser
b) Sprinkler head location and spacing.
c) Heads located from heat zones
d) Exposed piping should be steel.
e) Sprinkler heads in unconditioned areas to be 175° degrees
14. Alarm bells to be located per Fire Department requirements.
15. Testing of system to be per N.F.P.A. #13D and Fire Department Requirements.
16. Sprinklers may be omitted from closets less than 3'0" in depth or not over 24 sq. ft.
