Scope of Review: This confirms the receipt and review of: • Checklist For Roofing System • Email Correspondence — Roof Pullout Test dated March 29, 2017. The submittal details the re -roof of Building 3 at Intergate East. The new roof system will be installed on the existing wood roof deck. Fastener pullout test data has been completed with an average pull out resistance of 249 lbs. per fastener. The new roof system will consist of a Carlisle Sure -Flex PVC membrane fully adhered to two layers of Carlisle Insulbase insulation. The insulations will be mechanically fastened to the existing wood roof decking with Carlisle Insulfast fasteners. A Carlisle VapAir 725 vapor retarder will be provided beneath the insulation. The roof system is modeled from FM Global RoofNav Assemblies 343627-0-0 and 325911-0-0. The above is our understanding based on this and previous submittals. Please advise us if any of the above is inaccurate. Review Comments: 1. Ensure that the roof membrane is fully adhered to the roof system insulation layer with Carlisle Low VOC PVC Bonding Adhesive at a minimum application rate of 1.55 gallons per square. 2. Secure the roof insulation to the wood roof deck with eight (8) fasteners per 4 ft. by 8 ft. insulation board in the field and perimeter of the roof. 3. Secure the roof insulation to the wood roof deck with ten (10) fasteners per 4 ft. by 8 ft. insulation board in the corners of the roof. Strictly manage and take proper precautions for hot work: a. Avoid hot work of any kind when possible. b. If there is a practical and safer way to do the job without hot work, use the alternative method. c. If hot work is unavoidable, use the FM Global Hot Work Permit System. Using the Hot Work Permit System and taking the precautions it requires prevents hot work fires. 5. Inspect the existing roof decking prior to beginning the roof installation. Damaged sections of the existing roof decking should be repaired or replaced prior to the installation of the new roof system.
