V Business Items
• Aaron Draganov, Co -Chair introduced Q Hollins new Interim Principal of Foster
High School. Mr. Hollins shared his professional experience in education and
looking forward fostering new opportunities with Foster High School and Tukwila
School District community.
• Niesha Fort -Brooks, Community Engagement Manger re -introduced the four
Equity Policy draft Initiatives from the Equity Policy Implementation Committee
(EPIC). Commissioners provided recommendations to the four Equity Policy
initiatives for City staff to re -convene and revise drafts with EPIC subcommittee.
• Rachel Bianchi, Deputy City Administrator briefed commissioners on the City's
monthly COVID —19 response, on-going budget impacts, opening of the Tukwila
Justice Center and Virtual Townhall City Budget Listening Session on August 25,
2020 at 6:00 p.m.
• Commissioners agreed to create an ad-hoc City budget group to better
understand the impacts it will have on City services by leading through an Equity
lens.
