Chair Abdi called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
I. BUSINESS AGENDA
A. Contract: Foster Golf Links #7 Green Remodel
Staff is seeking Council approval of a contract with Ridgetop Golf in the amount of $130,000 to
re -landscape the 7th green at Foster Golf Links.
Committee Recommendation:
Unanimous approval. Forward to January 23, 2023 Committee of the Whole.
B. Police Department Recruitment
Staff provided an update.
Committee Recommendation:
Discussion only.
C. Ordinance: Civil Service Commission
Staff is seeking Council approval of an ordinance to amend TMC 2.42.030 to allow the Police
Chief to make an appointment from the top-ranked five applicants instead of the current top
three applicants.
Committee Recommendation:
Majority approval (Abdi, McLeod in support; Sharp opposed). Forward to January 23, 2023
Committee of the Whole).
II. MISCELLANEOUS
Staff mentioned that a contract for park security is on the Committee of the Whole agenda and
asked if there were any questions from the committee.
