The tank is cryogenic fluid system and the overall project was designed in accordance with all NFPA and IFC standards. The scope of this proposal is only for the supply of Argon and piping to the equipment/machinery. NFPA Standards - Visible hazard identification signs, identification of container connectors, identification of piping systems, and identification of emergency shutoff valves will be placed on the tanks and/or enclosure in accordance with NFPA 55 and NFPA 704. The Hazard Classes for Liquid Argon are: Health- 3, Flammability- 0, Reactivity- 0, and Special Hazard- SA (simple asphyxiate). - Per NFPA 55, Table 6.3.1.1, M.A.Q. of Gases per Control Area: there are no limits to the size or quantity of cryogenic liquids/gases whether it be enclosed or not, sprinkled or not. - The proposed tank for installation has been designed, fabricated, tested, marked (stamped), and maintained in accordance with NFPA 55, 8.2.1. - The foundation attachment and supports have been designed in accordance with NFPA 55, 8.2.3. - Pressure relief devices shall be provided in accordance with NFPA 55, 8.2.4 - Pressure relief vent piping shall be constructed and arranged in accordance with NFPA 55, 8.3. and will vent to the exterior of the building - Security for the cryogenic tank and system will be provided in accordance with NFPA 55, 8.6 - The design of the piping system and accessory equipment is in accordance with NFPA 55, 8.14.1.5 International Fire Code Standards Vehicle (forklift) impact protection provided by welded steel bolt -on bollards.
