This permit shall become null and void if the work is not commenced within 180 days for the date of issuance, or if
the work is suspended or abandoned for a period of 180 days from the last inspection.
PERMIT CONDITIONS:
1: Work shall be installed in accordance with the approved construction documents, and any changes made
during construction that are not in accordance with the approved construction documents shall be
resubmitted for approval.
2: All permits, inspection record card and approved construction documents shall be kept at the site of work
and shall be open to inspection by the Building Inspector until final inspection approval is granted.
3: All construction shall be done in conformance with the Washington State Building Code and the
Washington State Energy Code.
4: Remove all demolition rubble and loose miscellaneous material from lot or parcel of ground, properly cap
the sanitary sewer connections, and properly fill or otherwise protect all basements, cellars, septic tanks,
wells, and other excavations. Final inspection approval will be determined by the building inspector based
on satisfactory completion of this requirement.
5: All plumbing and gas piping work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the
City of Tukwila Building Department (206-431-3670).
6: All electrical work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the City of Tukwila
Permit Center.
7: VALIDITY OF PERMIT: The issuance or granting of a permit shall not be construed to be a permit for, or an
approval of, any violation of any of the provisions of the building code or of any other ordinances of the City
of Tukwila. Permits presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of the code or other
ordinances of the City of Tukwila shall not be valid. The issuance of a permit based on construction
documents and other data shall not prevent the Building Official from requiring the correction of errors in
the construction documents and other data.

PERMIT APPLICATION NOTES -
Value of construction — in all cases, a value of construction amount should be entered by the applicant. This figure will be reviewed and is subject
to possible revision by the permit center to comply with current fee schedules.
Expiration of plan review — applications for which no permit is issued within 180 days following the date of application shall expire by limitation.
The building official may grant one extension of time for additional periods not to exceed 90 days each. The extension shall be requested in writing
and justifiable cause demonstrated. Section 105.3.2 International Building Code (current edition).

The project for the permit listed above was scheduled to begin 4/29/19 and complete 6/28/19. Currently,
this project is slated to start 9/16/19 and complete 12/19/19. Our extended permit is about to expire, and
we would like to request an extension as our final inspection will not occur until 12/19/19. This is an
elevator upgrade project where we will be replacing the jack, upgrading finishes and equipment so there
will not be any inspections until the end of the project.

Tukwila Permit Center. Per the International Building Code, International Mechanical Code, Uniform Plumbing Code and/or

GENERAL NOTES
THE MECHANICAL SYSTEM SHALL CONSIST OF ALL WORK SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS,
INCLUDING PLANS, DIAGRAMS, DETAILS, ETC., AND ALL WORK AS IDENTIFIED IN THE
SPECIFICATIONS. WORK INCLUDES FURNISHING, INSTALLING SYSTEM, INTEGRATION,
TESTING, TRAINING AND WARRANTY OF THE MECHANICAL SYSTEMS AS SHOWN AND
SPECIFIED. PROVIDE A COMPLETE AND OPERABLE MECHANICAL SYSTEM COMPLETE
WITH ALL MECHANICAL WORK AS REQUIRED FOR SYSTEM OPERATION.
2. THE DESIGN OF MECHANICAL SYSTEMS HAS BEEN BASED UPON THE EQUIPMENT AS
MANUFACTURED BY THE MANUFACTURERS LISTED ON THE EQUIPMENT SCHEDULE.
EQUIPMENT NAMED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS MAY BE SUBSTITUTED PROVIDED THAT THE
EQUIPMENT MEETS OR EXCEEDS ALL SCHEDULED AND SPECIFIED CRITERIA, AND HAS
THE WRITTEN APPROVAL OF THE ENGINEER. COORDINATE THE INSTALLATION WITH ALL
TRADES AND GUARANTEE IN WRITING THAT NO ADDITIONAL COST WILL BE INCURRED
DUE TO PRODUCT SUBSTITUTION.
3. CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY ALL BUILDING AND SITE DIMENSIONS BEFORE
BEGINNING CONSTRUCTION OR ORDERING EQUIPMENT. DO NOT SCALE FROM PLANS.
4. INSULATION SHALL MEET WASHINGTON STATE ENERGY CODE (WSEC).
5. PENETRATIONS THROUGHOUT 2—HOUR FIRE RATED WALLS, PARTITIONS, CEILINGS AND
ROOF ASSEMBLIES SHALL RECEIVE 2—HOUR FIRE STOP RATED UL APPROVED SEALANT
FROM INSIDE AND WEATHER RESISTANT SEALANT FROM OUTSIDE.
6. PROVIDE ALL REQUIRED ELECTRICAL POWER, AND CONTROL INTERFACE AND
CONNECTIONS AS REQUIRED FOR SYSTEM OPERATION. COORDINATE REQUIREMENTS WITH
THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR.
7. PROVIDE ALL REQUIRED EQUIPMENT GUARDS AND STRUCTURAL SUPPORT AS
RECOMMENDED BY EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURERS TO SUPPORT EQUIPMENT AND TO
ASSURE SYSTEM PERFORMANCE AND SAFE OPERATION. COORDINATE PRIOR TO
INSTALLATION. PROVIDE ACCESS PANELS AS REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN EQUIPMENT,
ACCESS VALVES AND DAMPER OPERATORS.
8. PROVIDE UNIT SUPPORT PER MANUFACTURERS RECOMMENDATIONS. BUILDING AND
STRUCTURE IS DESIGNED TO SUPPORT EQUIPMENT, BUT NOT DETAILED TO
ACCOMMODATE EACH AVAILABLE EQUIPMENT CONFIGURATION OR MANUFACTURER.
