Connect HVAC Smoke Detector located in HVAC unit on roof to the Digital Monitoring Products XR 200 Alarm Panel located in the sprinkler riser room for remote monitoring. Currently the alarm system monitors water flow and valve tampers. There are no pull stations or audible devices connected to the system. The control keypad for ackknowledging and silencing the alarm panel is also located in the sprinkler riser room. The new duct detector was installed by the HVAC contractor and is powered by the HVAC unit. Resetting the detector after an alarm is done thru the HVAC system. The detector is connected to the alarm system via an point exspantion module. It has a unique point id and the point is programmed as a supervisory point (not an alarm point). Upon activation and signal received at Mace Central Station, ( Anaheim CA. 1800-228-0580) the building manager and Statewide service technician will be notified.
