Dear Mr. Haney:
The fire alarm system Plans affixed hereto have been
reviewed and accepted as meeting or exceeding minimum
requirements of the City of Tukwila Fire Department, Bureau
of Fire Prevention, with the following notes:
1. Maintain square foot coverage of detectors per
manufacturer's specifications in all areas including0
closets, elevator shafts, top of stairwells, etc. (NFPA
72A, 1-2.2 8 NFPA 72E) (Above ceiling)
2. Wire shall be in conduit or be UL listed Fire
Protective Signaling Circuit Cable. (NFPA 72A, 2-2.1)
3. Local UL Central Station supervision is reauired.
(Citw Ordinance *1327)
4. Remote indicator lights are reauired on all above
ceiling smoke detectors.
5. A rechargeable battery back-up is reauired on any fire
alarm installation. There shall be enough battery capacity
to run the alarm system in standby for twenty-four (24)
hours and, atter that time, sound all alert devices for at
least five (5) minutes. (NFPA 72A, 2-3.4.2)
6. When the control panel is located inside a room, the
outside of the Panel shall have a sign with one -inch letters
which reads 'Fire Alarm" or "Fire Alarm Control'.
7. A satisfactorw contract covering the maintenance,
operation and efficiency of the sustem shall be provided by
the property owner. The contract shall provide for periodic
inspection and tsts, for ProPer maintenance service, and
